The Arthritis Foundation Welcomes Kelly Martin as New Senior Vice President of Operations

In his new role, Martin will provide executive leadership, oversight and strategy development for operations, information technology, human resources and finance. Additionally, he will support the Foundation by developing and leading the short-term and long-term operation strategies, creating processes needed to drive organizational change and success and ensuring the needs of all stakeholders are met through establishing strategic plans.

Martin joins the Arthritis Foundation after serving as Vice President of Business Strategies at Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), where he drove organizational success through strategic growth planning as well as key improvements in revenue generation, internal systems, data processes and financial operations. He has professional experience in a variety of sectors, including large systems integrators and the telecommunications industry. In addition to his experience at BIO, Kelly has delivered positive business outcomes in roles at the American International Automobile Dealers Association, the National Federation of Independent Business, the American National Red Cross, Lockheed Martin and Sycamore Networks.

Previously, Martin served as a Board Member for the Maryland Tech Council, where he positioned Maryland as a leading innovation and manufacturing economy for life sciences and technology in the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati and resides in the Washington, D.C. area.
