Georgia Power Brings Electric Vehicle Charging to Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Jonesboro

Georgia Power has launched a new community electric vehicle (EV) charger at the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House at 7348 Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.
The EV charger is available for use starting today with complimentary charging through October 24th. The charging capabilities are conveniently located in a busy commercial area within proximity to Interstate 75.
As part of a statewide initiative to enable EV adoption and connect communities, Georgia Power is building a network of safe, reliable, and convenient charging infrastructure for an ever-growing market segment of drivers. The new EV chargers in Jonesboro are the 54th Direct Current (DC) Fast Chargers that the company has launched across the state.
Charging sessions require ChargePoint authorization, which is available at www.georgiapower.chargepoint.com.
The installation represents the newest technology in EV fast chargers, offering charging speeds up to 125kW – adding 100 miles in 12 minutes – dual dispensers and power sharing capability. Georgia Power has installed chargers in several cities including Atlanta, Rome, Brunswick, Columbus, Cleveland, Lavonia, Kingsland, Tifton, Forest Park and Milledgeville.
