Georgia Power Regional Director John Cornelius Elected as 2022 Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance Board of Directors’ Secretary

Georgia Power Metro South Regional Director John Cornelius has been elected as the 2022 Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance Board of Directors’ Secretary by their executive board. Cornelius was appointed to the board of directors this past March.
Founded in 2014, the Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance is a public-private partnership to improve the regional economic competitiveness of area surrounding the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. As a major driver of the state’s economy, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport generates a $34.8 billion economic impact for metro Atlanta and provides more than 63,000 jobs on-site, making it the state’s largest employer. As the gateway to the world, the airport offers residents and businesses non-stop service to more than 150 domestic and 70 international destinations.
Earlier this year, Georgia Power and the Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company (AATC) announced an approximately $100 million investment in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's infrastructure to help ensure the highest reliability with the most resilient power system for the world's busiest airport.
