David Weekley Homes' Atlanta Division Kicks Off Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

Friday, November 5th, 2021

For the ninth year in a row, David Weekley Homes’ Atlanta Division is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Between now and November 19, the award-winning home builder is encouraging home buyers, real estate professionals and neighbors to drop off non-perishable items to its communities throughout Metro Atlanta, as well as its Division Headquarters. As a culmination to the event, the Atlanta Division Headquarters will also host a dedicated Turkey Drive on November 19 in hopes of receiving as many frozen turkeys as possible for families in need to enjoy on Thanksgiving Day. Donations will then be delivered to MUST Ministries – a nonprofit committed to addressing the basic needs of individuals, families and children year-round.

“Last year, our CARE Team collected 165 frozen turkeys and more than 4,200 pounds of canned goods for families in need,” said Adam Cornett, Atlanta Division President for David Weekley Homes. “An estimated 660 people benefited from that effort. Food insecurity is a very real issue – no matter the time of year – and David Weekley Homes divisions all across the nation are working hard to get even more participation this holiday season in hopes of helping as many families as humanly possible.”

Non-perishable items like canned vegetables, soups, gravy, instant potatoes, rice and pasta can be dropped off at the following locations:

Frozen turkeys will also be accepted at the Atlanta Division Headquarters at 5775 Glenridge Dr NE Ste 210, Atlanta, GA 30328 on November 19 only. Drop off times for all locations are Monday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
