Panasonic Automotive Chief Human Resources Officer to Speak at Clayton State’s Fall Commencement

Clayton State University will hold six in-person ceremonies between Thursday, December 2 and Saturday, December 4, to celebrate its nearly 600 summer and fall 2021 graduates. All ceremonies will be held at the Athletics Center located on the university’s main campus.

Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America’s Chief Human Resources Officer Stephen Childs will be the keynote speaker and will deliver his remarks in-person during Saturday’s 11 a.m. ceremony.

Childs has over 23 years of experience with Panasonic. He has been relentless working for the past 6 years on helping PASA become a year-over-year Best and Brightest Place to Work organization through a people before product culture. He is a global keynote speaker, Columbia University trained executive coach, and Forbes Contributor who is intentional about sharing what he has learned from others.

He received a Global Fellow of Talent Management designation from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Because of the strength of his amazing team, he has been honored to receive the 2018 Human Resource Development World Congress 50 HR Tech Minds Award, the OnConference 100 top HR Professionals in 2021 and is a two-time American Business Award winner for HR Executive of the Year. He is just as passionate about serving in his community. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Executive Board for Fayette Senior Services, the Executive Board for the Society of Human Resource Management Atlanta as well as the Executive Board of the Atlanta Regional Business Coalition.
