Adding to honors that include America’s Best Builder and National Builder of the Year, award-winning national home builder – David Weekley Homes – is proud to announce that it has been named 2021 Builder of the Year by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA). The Builder of the Year Award is presented each year to a builder member of the GAHBA who has demonstrated a commitment to professional excellence while also making significant contributions to furthering the goals and mission of the association. Recognized during the GAHBA’s annual Installation & Awards Program in January, Adam Cornett, Josh Hilscher and Lesa Ness accepted the award on behalf of David Weekley Homes’ Atlanta Division.

“We were particularly happy to recognize David Weekley Homes as our 2021 Builder of the Year because of what they meant to the association as a whole last year,” said Emily Raymond, GAHBA Meetings and Events Director. “For their entire Atlanta division, building homes is about more than creating a shelter – it’s about building relationships and that is very apparent when you meet them at our Greater Atlanta HBA events. In 2021, they were a key player in orchestrating the first ever Backyard Builder Bash event. They even offered to host it at one of their communities. They are a huge proponent of the OBIE Awards, especially in 2021 when they took home 4 Gold Awards and 7 Silver awards. They were also an active participant in the 2021 Parade of Homes. Not only did they enter homes in the parade, but they also served as a member of the Parade of Homes Committee and won a People’s Choice Award. From sharing their expertise with the Associates Council to volunteering their time and input as a board member of the 55+ Housing Council, David Weekley Homes was an invaluable member of the Greater Atlanta HBA in 2021 and will continue to serve as such in 2022.”
