Forsyth Farmers’ Market Launches 2022 Season
Thursday, January 6th, 2022
Forsyth Farmers’ Market (FFM), a local non-profit organization that seeks to promote a local food system in Savannah, looks forward to new changes and continual growth in the 2022 year. The first farmers market of 2022 will be Saturday, January 8th in Forsyth Park from 9:00am until 1:00pm.
In addition to January 8th being the first market of 2022, Forsyth Farmers’ Market will have Farm Truck 912 at the market for a Farm Truck Boutique event. This event will feature two local businesses; Alexander Mack's Diverse Cooking who specializes in gluten free, herbed breads and fruit fritters, and Porous Farm that specializes in mushroom jerky, mushroom coffee replacement, and fresh, locally grown mushrooms. Forsyth Farmers’ Market will also be making a big announcement about the organization’s upcoming plans for 2022. The announcement will happen in front of Farm Truck 912 at the south end of the park at 10 AM.
Each year, the market continues to provide additional local entrepreneurs with a downtown venue to sell products while also retaining the standard 60/40 ratio of farm produce vendors to prepared foods vendors. This year we welcome 19 new vendors to the market. This will bring the total number of vendors on the FFM’s roster to 62.
New vendors who will be joining the market on January 8 are:
-

We are excited to see so many new, local, small businesses, especially farms, join us for the 2022 season. We look forward to helping these and all of our vendors succeed this year. 2022 is going to be a big year for our organization, and it is fitting that we start the year welcoming so many new vendors.”
