Paramount Software Solutions Earns Top Honor for Business Excellence in 2021 Inc. Best in Business Awards

Thursday, January 13th, 2022

Paramount Software Solutions, Inc. has been named to the Inc. 2021 Best in Business list as the Gold Medal winner in the General Excellence category. Inc.’s Best in Business Awards honor companies that have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact in their communities and the industry at large.

The list, which can be found in the winter issue of Inc. Magazine (on newsstands, today, December 14th), recognizes small- and medium-size privately held American businesses that have had an outstanding influence on their communities, their industries, the environment, or society as a whole.

“We are honored to receive recognition from Inc. Magazine in recognizing Paramount’s efforts towards innovation for social good and sustainability across industries,” says Pramod Sajja, CEO and President of Paramount Software Solutions.

“One of our key business initiatives was Paramount Farm to Plate, a blockchain driven tracking and provenance tool for the food industry. We truly believe technology must benefit humanity as shown by  the platform’s quintessential functionality of microtipping that enables the oft-impoverished farmer to earn additional revenues directly from consumers. Additionally, it addresses the pressing need for transparency by enabling consumers to verify the nature of the food they purchase and producers to share important information over an immutable network,” Sajja adds.

Inc. also recognized Paramount Software Solutions for other innovative initiatives, including their blockchain driven carbon footprint tracking system that enables carbon credit purchase; the company’s contributions to the development of dispute resolution software for judicial reform; and their social cause-related efforts like partnering with a local school in Atlanta (to do what?) and collecting employee donations to support the COVID-19 relief effort in India.

Paramount’s work in this area also contributed to Sajja’s inclusion in Inc.’s “Change-Makers with Heart” list, a recognition honoring strategic leaders who are also providing a source of good in the world.

Scott Omelianuk, Editor-in-Chief of Inc., says, “What began for us during the pandemic as an effort to showcase companies that were helping the community has grown into a recognition of social, environmental, and economic impact. The companies on this year’s list are “Change-Makers with Heart” – and they’re pouring the best of their business into the people and communities around them.”

Rather than relying on quantitative criteria tied to sales or funding, Inc.'s editors reviewed the companies’ achievements over the past year and noted how they made a positive difference in the world. They then selected honorees in more than 49 different industries from finance to software to engineering to fashion and more, as well as  in age-based and revenue-based categories. The applicant pool was extremely competitive, with around 2,700 entries and an acceptance rate in the low single digits, representing a huge success for these honors in the list’s second year.
