Moore Colson Director Wes Scott Appointed to Board of Directors for SFNet’s Atlanta Chapter

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, announced Consulting director Wes Scott, CIRA, has joined the board of directors for the Secured Finance Network (SFNet) Atlanta Chapter. Founded in 1944, SFNet is an essential resource for all organizations and professionals who deliver and enable secured finance to businesses, providing networking opportunities that foster communities of interest that can generate opportunities, deal flow, and long-term relationships and collaborations.
Scott will serve on the board of directors alongside other industry leaders to bring valuable programs, speakers, and networking opportunities to the chapter’s members. Scott is a first-time member of the board and will focus on the chapter’s financial responsibilities and helping the board find a document repository solution.
“I am honored that SFNet’s Atlanta Chapter has provided me the opportunity to be a leader within the group,” said Scott. “I’m looking forward to working with the other board members to refine the strategy and process for managing the chapter’s financial and documentation responsibilities, which will allow us to improve the experience for the group and all its members.”
Scott joined Moore Colson in 2021 as a director in the Consulting Practice with more than 18 years of experience serving clients as both a lender and consultant focusing on restructuring and bankruptcy for debtors, lenders and unsecured creditors. At Moore Colson, Scott’s primary role is leading the practice’s Lender Advisory Services group, focusing on developing and building new and existing client relationships through assisting lenders with services that allow them to successfully structure and close transactions, as well as, assist them when issues with borrowers arise.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. In addition to being a member of SFNet’s Atlanta chapter, Scott is an active member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). He is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
