The weather may be chilly, but Atlantic Station has a full lineup of entertaining events to prevent those winter blues and keep you busy throughout the month of February. Celebrate the Year of the Tiger as we honor Lunar New Year with breathtaking decor, mesmerizing lantern shows, a scavenger hunt, a ritual lion dance and more. Treat your taste buds to one of the many flavorful food and beverage festivals that are happening throughout the month in the Pinnacle Lot, such as Atlanta Winter Beer Festival and Oyster Festival, that are guaranteed to satisfy your cravings! 

The full February events lineup is outlined below:

Lunar New Year

Now through Monday, February 28 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. daily

Visit Atlantic Green to get your dose of the magnificent Lunar New Year decor and family-friendly celebrations. At the top of the hour nightly from 5 - 9 p.m., a “fire” breathing 90-foot-long dragon with over 25,000 lights, known as the Chinese symbol of good fortune, will pop out of a cloud of fog in the plaza to surprise guests. Also happening at the top of each hour every night, over 450 beautifully decorated red lanterns will illuminate Atlantic Green for a spectacular lantern show. Lunar New Year Scavenger Hunt

Tuesday, February 1 through Tuesday, February 8 at 10 a.m., daily on Atlantic Station’s Instagram Stories

In Chinese culture the number eight symbolizes wealth and is believed to be the luckiest number. Join us for an eight day virtual Lunar New Year scavenger hunt! Daily at 10 a.m., check Atlantic Station’s Instagram stories for a hint to one of the eight red treat bags hidden somewhere around the property. Followers will be asked where the red treat bag is and why they believe that location is significant to Lunar New Year. The first person to correctly guess the location and its significance wins the prize that day. Each treat bag includes eight lucky chocolate gold coins, gift cards ranging from $10-$50 to Atlantic Station retailers and other surprises. Lunar New Year Lion Dance

Thursday, February 10 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The Lion Dance is a well-known and essential tradition in Chinese culture that is believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits. Experience this ritual as performed by Chien Hong School of Kung Fu and watch as dancers mimic the lion’s movements in a customary lion costume. To highlight the Year of the Tiger, this ritual will be accompanied by a grandiose tiger costume character interacting with the audience, bringing good luck to all. Guests are also welcome to participate in Lunar New Year Trivia to win fun-filled red treat bags during the show. Atlanta Winter Beer Festival

Saturday, February 5 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. 

Grab your friends and sip on some boozy drinks in the Pinnacle Lot at the Atlanta Winter Beer Festival presented by Atlanta Beer Festivals. Sample from a wide selection of over 150 beers, wines and ciders from homegrown Georgia brewers and other breweries from across the country. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many food trucks on site, and enjoy live music with DJ Qtip running the dance party in heated tents. Tickets include entry, a souvenir cup, entertainment and all alcohol samples. Food will be available at an additional cost. This is a 21 and up event, no exceptions. Atlanta Oyster Festival

Saturday, February 12 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Craving delicious and fresh oysters? At the Atlanta Oyster Festival, guests can enjoy a fresh selection of oysters accompanied by wine, beer, mimosas, brunch punch and seltzers. Good tunes will also be provided by DJ Qtip in heated tents. The VIP early entry begins at noon, while general admission starts at 1 p.m. Tickets include entry, entertainment, a souvenir cup and all alcohol samples, while food will be available at an additional cost. We’re saying hello again to Hello Kitty! Crowd favorite Hello Kitty Café Truck will be returning to Atlantic Station at Atlantic Green this month. Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival
