Roswell High School student Camden Mattison recent took the Bronze Medal in a plumbing skills competition against students from across Georgia. The need for new workers in the skilled trades is an ongoing challenge in Georgia and in February
Construction Ready, SkillsUSA Georgia, and the Technical College System of Georgia hosted the
SkillsUSA - Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference 2022 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Overall, the Roswell High School team took home the Gold Medal in the team competition. The event gave more than 500 Georgia students an opportunity to showcase their technical skills in more than 70 skilled career competitions.
Contests included carpentry, electrical, woodworking, welding, masonry, sheet metal work, and more. Students were able to fine tune their workplace and technical skills and hear from industry leaders in leadership training seminars.
