Swift Currie Adds Six Attorneys in Atlanta and Birmingham

Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, LLP, announces the addition of six attorneys in its Atlanta and Birmingham offices. Joining as associates in Atlanta are Jordan Elliott, Jack McCall, Sara Phillips and Hope Vernon. Carson Campbell joins as an associate in Birmingham.

Carson Campbell joins the firm’s workers’ compensation practice in Birmingham and represents employers, insurers, self-insureds and third-party administrators in connection with workers’ compensation claims. She previously served as an associate with another Birmingham firm defending large and small employers in various workers’ compensation matters and performing research and legal analysis to advise clients in premises liability claims. Campbell earned an undergraduate degree from Auburn University and a law degree from the Samford University Cumberland School of Law.
Jordan Elliott joins the firm’s litigation team and focuses her practice on insurance defense in automobile litigation, medical malpractice, trucking and transportation litigation and premises liability. Prior to joining Swift Currie, she practiced with a law firm in Macon, Ga., where she headed up the United Way of Central Georgia fundraising campaign and raised over $8,000. She also served as a summer intern in Cobb County District Attorney’s appellate division and was a summer clerk with Judge Craig Schwall, Sr. in Fulton County Superior Court. Elliott earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the Mercer University School of Law.
Jack McCall joins the firm’s coverage and commercial litigation team and specializes in the area of civil commercial litigation. Prior to joining Swift Currie, he worked as a litigation associate at a boutique business litigation firm. Additionally, McCall clerked with several Superior Court Judges during his law school tenure. He has been the primary counsel for agricultural testing facilities, gas stations, tech companies and numerous start-ups. McCall earned an undergraduate degree from Furman University and a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law
Sara Phillips joins the firm’s workers’ compensation practice and represents employers and insurance companies to handle and resolve claims. Prior to joining Swift Currie, she served as an associate with another Atlanta firm handling all phases of workers’ compensation claims, including discovery, depositions, evaluations, settlement and litigation. While in law school, Phillips interned with the Human Rights Research Fund and with the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.
Hope Vernon joins the firm’s coverage and commercial litigation team and focuses her practice on general liability and civil litigation. She previously served as a claims analyst for a healthcare liability insurance carrier where she analyzed, assessed and valued complex medical malpractice claims throughout the entirety of the litigation process. While in law school, Vernon served as a judicial extern with Chief Justice Harold Melton of the Georgia Supreme Court, and she returned to serve as a clerk for Chief Justice Melton following law school. Vernon earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and a law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.
