Roswell's State of the City Address

Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson gave an update on the city's 100-Day Plan.

He provided an update on the "Evaluate Zero-Based Budgeting" goal, indicating that Council member Christine Hall and Finance Director Ryan Luckett had been working collaboratively to address and complete the goal.


Under that goal, City Council said it would fully review the basis of local government spending and their strategic budgeting methods. Mayor Wilson also shared his 100-Day Plan would accomplish several important goals through May 3. The Plan will focus on collaborative, concerted efforts to achieve a variety of critical City objectives, according to the City and execute an “Oxbo action plan” by April 24, with project completion expected by Dec. 24, 2023.

Jon-Paul Croom, Fache, President Wellstar North Fulton and President Roswell Inc, welcomed all sponsors to the State of the City address and shared the expansion of Wellstar North Fulton into a state of the art Cancer Center.

Steve Stroud shared the “Roswell Market”, Real Estate and employment updates and also shared the Hottest News for Historic Roswell: A second Hotel in Historic Roswell.


Adjacent to Southern Post will be Historic Roswell’s second Hotel. Southern Post will be the newest destination for residents and visitors to live, work and play. Offering a curated and dynamic mix of retail shops, loft style office space, restaurants and carefully curated residences, Southern Post will emerge as the newest go-to gathering spot in the heart of historic Roswell, Georgia.


This 125 room Hotel at Southern Post will be the “Hyatt at Southern Post and will be managed by the “Indigo Group”.
