“We are thrilled to have Ophelia join the team to ensure the financial stability of CaringWorks as we embark on our next 20 years of serving Atlantans exiting homelessness,” stated Collard. “As an integral part of the management team, Ophelia will ensure that CaringWorks complies with all financial and reporting standards and acts as a good steward of the funding entrusted to us, without which we could not provide the vital services needed to end the cycle of homelessness.”
Brown has an extensive background in finance and accounting spanning 30 years across nonprofit and corporate entities with considerable experience working with grants and trust funds. In particular, Brown has expertise in streamlining daily accounting processes and reporting and establishing clear procedures for reaching financial goals. “The fiscal health of CaringWorks is crucial to providing the umbrella of mission-critical services needed to help those exiting homelessness,” said Brown. “Our grants and funding rely on our strong fiscal health, and I am honored to be part of the team that ensures CaringWorks will be here to serve the homeless population for years to come.”
