Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022
Parkland Communities announces it recently received approval for three Gwinnett County zonings. These developments are situated in sought-after locations and represent much-needed missing middle housing in a growing county. A total of 214 homes are approved across three communities – 67 stacked townhomes in Lawrenceville, 101 single-family homes in Grayson and 46 traditional townhomes in Lawrenceville.
“We are excited to bring these communities to market to help solve the housing shortage in the metro area,” Parkland Communities President Jim Jacobi said. “Our company is focused on providing thoughtful master planned communities with high-quality attainable housing for the missing middle market that will be enjoyed by families for generations to come.”
Sugarloaf Crest is a build-to-rent community located in Lawrenceville on Sugarloaf Parkway across the street from Sugarloaf Landing, another successful stacked townhome community by Parkland Residential. Sugarloaf Crest will feature 67 rear-entry stacked townhomes with one-car garages and two or three bedrooms.
This community is located next to Cedar Hill Elementary and Richards Middle. The spacious, open floor plans feature two and three bedrooms with sizable kitchens that flow into oversized family rooms with covered outdoor living spaces, perfect for families and entertaining guests.
Rainwater Park is a build-to-rent community featuring 46 traditional townhomes on Cruse Road in the Lawrenceville area. The townhomes feature three and four bedrooms with wide-open floor plans having 1,700 square feet of living space and two car garages.
Bennett Farm is an Open Space Conservation community consisting of 101 homes on 38 acres in Grayson, Georgia. This master-planned community is conveniently located at the intersection of Hoke O’Kelly Mill Road and Loganville Highway with homes starting in the high $300,000s. The community features a large amenity area with cabana, pool, playground and play field.
Parkland Communities is focused on the underserved missing middle market. The concept of missing middle is defined by John Hunt, principal with MarketNsight, as a single-family home located alongside what looks like a single-family residence but is really a duplex, quad, eightplex or more.
