ARA Releases July Scholarship Recipients

The Atlanta REALTORS Association (ARA) recently approved a new scholarship opportunity for students graduating from Georgia high schools who are planning to attend an accredited post-secondary school (college, university, or vocational-technical institution) and for undergraduate students currently attending an accredited post-secondary school who are residents of Georgia. ARA's Impact Foundation, overseen by its Board of Trustees, launched the scholarships in 2022. The Foundation will award ten (10) $1,000 non-renewable scholarships each year!
The inaugural group of scholarship recipients are:

Christian Edwards
T'oni Birden
Jalen Adams
Mays Butts
Aria Alridge
Each scholarship recipient was selected based on the following criteria, in priority order:
Written Essay
Demonstrated Leadership in Extra-curricular School Activities
Community Involvement
At Least a 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) or Equivalent
Letters of Recommendation
The scholarship can be used only for fees, books, tuition, and/or room and board. In keeping with their commitment to ensuring diversity, ARA makes no distinction in its scholarship awards based on the grounds of age, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, or physical ability. All applicants must be immediate family members (including adopted children and stepchildren), grandchildren, or family members under legal guardianship who are related to a REALTOR member of the Atlanta REALTORS Association. In support of continuing education, ARA is pleased to extend this scholarship opportunity annually to its 14,000+ members.
