Cushman & Wakefield announced that the commercial real estate services firm has arranged the sale of The Lofts @ Twenty25 Apartments, a 623-unit luxury apartment complex in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. The final sale price was $136 million, equating to $218,299 per unit.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Stickel and Alex Brown represented the seller, Varden Capital Properties (VCP), in the transaction. The apartment complex was acquired by Westside Capital Group.
"Varden Capital Properties acquired this landmark residential tower, formerly known as The Darlington. They completely transformed the asset through premier renovations to the units as well as amenities, including rebranding and repositioning it as the Peachtree Road Medical Corridor saw significant growth," said Stickel, Executive Vice Chair at Cushman & Wakefield.
The Lofts @ Twenty25 Apartments is a unique high-rise asset that was originally built in 1951 and home to the iconic “Atlanta’s Population Now” sign before being strategically repositioned in 2021. It has proven to be one of Atlanta’s most desirable apartment complexes with an average of 68 leases executed per month.
One of the main selling points of The Loft @ Twenty25 Apartments is its prime location, which offers a variety of benefits. This includes direct and convenient access to Atlanta’s top dining and entertainment options. In addition, the apartment complex is ideally positioned at the intersection of Atlanta’s top Central Business Districts, Midtown, and Buckhead.
"Westside Capital Group was a uniquely capable buyer for this asset, having recently acquired two similar towers in Florida, and entered Atlanta with a property providing rare affordability in an excellent location,” added Brown, Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield.
