The program will also be live streamed to a virtual audience through the Council for Quality Growth website. The INTERSECTION Conference annually convenes metro Atlanta’s public and private sectors for a discussion of critical issues to our region and state. This year, the topic is “Innovation in Georgia: The Future of Housing, Workplaces, and Supply Chain,” focusing on three key areas heavily impacted by today’s dynamic, post-pandemic environment.
The INTERSECTION will feature a strong line-up of national-level speakers and local panelists to dive deep into these topics and assess what’s in store for Georgia’s future. On housing, we’ll hear from Zillow’s Chief Economist, Skylar Olsen. Olsen has 10 years of housing economics under her belt and will provide expert insight on what our industry can expect from the housing market going forward. On workplaces, we’ll hear from Arjun Ramani, Global Business & Economics Correspondent for The Economist. Ramani is well-studied on the economic effects remote work and will discuss his take on the future of hybrid workplaces and distributed workforces. On supply chain and logistics, we’ll hear from Jon Bell with Strategic Innovation for UPS’s Advanced Technology Group. Following Bell and speaking more to the mobility infrastructure side of the supply chain topic, we’ll hear a conversation between John Petrino, Director of Business Development for the Georgia Ports Authority, and Stuart Countess, President & CEO of Kia Georgia.
