Levine Smith Snider & Wilson, LLC is pleased to announce that James L. Powers has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Powers has practiced family law exclusively for the past two years and handles a full range of domestic relations matters including divorce, custody, child support and legitimation. 

After graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law, Powers was an assistant district attorney for five years. He served as a gang and murder prosecutor in Troup County and as a special victim’s unit prosecutor in Athens-Clarke County. Powers received a bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Family Law and Dispute Resolution sections.
