Medical Tech Platform Wins at Investor Showcase for Underrepresented Founders
Wednesday, August 24th, 2022
MedTrans Go, a technology platform for medical practices based in Atlanta, GA, will go into final due diligence for the top investment from TIE ACCESS, an entrepreneurship program from TiE Atlanta that awards minority- and female-owned businesses whose endeavors produce measurable positive change.
Co-Founders Dana Weeks and Dr. Obi Ugwonali founded MedTrans Go to combat the $150 billion loss in medical appointment cancellation. In addition to TiE ACCESS investment, Weeks and Dr. Udwonali will represent TiE Atlanta at the TiE Women’s Global Pitch.
The company was one of four finalists pitched at Atlanta Tech Village on Saturday, August 13. The day included pitches from four companies from Atlanta, GA; Portsmouth, VA; and Raleigh, NC.
ACCESS raised over $450,000 in angel investments and, subject to final due diligence and negotiations, all four of the following companies are eligible for this year’s investment pool:
MedTrans Go (Georgia): MedTrans Go is a B2B healthcare appointment optimization marketplace solving the $150B problem of medical appointment cancellations in the US.
Inclusivv (Georgia): Inclusivv is an engagement platform designed to help companies, universities, and communities increase awareness, understanding, and collective action around important and challenging topics.

The judges included:
Markell Baldwin, Drive Capital
Sid Mookerji, Silicon Road Ventures
