Remington Hotels Promotes Yanti Blackard to General Manager
Tuesday, August 30th, 2022
Remington Hotels, a dynamic hotel management company, is pleased to announce that Yanti Blackard has been promoted to General Manager of the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Mall Of Georgia in Buford, GA. Blackard demonstrated exceptional growth after joining the company in 2018 as a breakfast attendant, and quickly emerged as one of the property’s best Guest Service Agents. Her predecessor, Sagar Barhe, has also been elevated to Divisional Vice President, creating a natural opportunity for Blackard to advance.
“Remington’s commitment to promoting from within happens at all levels. Promoting Sagar Barhe to Divisional Vice President of Operations from his previous role as General Manager paved the way for Yanti to be promoted,” said Jason Reader, Senior Vice President of Operations at Remington. “I am proud of both Sagar and Yanti and look forward to their continued success in the company.”
After receiving the highest possible scores across guest service feedback surveys, Blackard cemented herself as a leader in service quality, making clear her path forward. She also single-handedly navigated audits conducted by ownership — resulting in a 95 percent score, provided essential assistance and support to other properties during their audits, and received an “excellent” rating in her quality assurance performance audit.
“Yanti’s dedication to providing the highest caliber of service has been clear since she first joined Remington,” said Sagar Barhe, Divisional Vice President at Remington. “ It is no surprise that she has risen so quickly, and I know she will continue to thrive in this new role.”
Blackard was the clear candidate for the Assistant General Manager role at Hampton Inn Atlanta-Mall Of Georgia when the position became available in 2020. Over the past year, as the travel and tourism industry experienced drastic shifts, she showcased her leadership potential and adaptability. Under her new role as General Manager, Blackard will be responsible for the full scope of hotel operations, including food and beverage, sales, engineering, human resources, and accounting.
