Monday, August 1st, 2022
WorthPoint Corporation, the world’s largest online resource for researching, valuing, and preserving antiques, art, and collectibles, announced today its business results for the second quarter of 2022 ending June 30, posting its 22nd sequential quarter of revenue growth.
The firm saw revenue increase by 20 percent this quarter from Q2 2021, with its subscriber base growing another 15 percent year over year.
“We remain confident in our projected growth through 2022 and optimistic about the growth seen in the antiques and resale markets amid worldwide inflationary and supply chain pressures,” said Will Seippel, CEO of WorthPoint. “Our goal has always been to make this multi-trillion dollar market more efficient for buyers and sellers. Our new, innovative products slated to launch by the end of the year will ease the process of antique identification and enhance transparency for our customers.”
The firm continues to prioritize partnering with auction and estate sale marketplaces to expand resources for customers valuing their collectibles and those preparing for estate liquidation. WorthPoint added notable partners in Q2, including Silverstone Auctions, Colonial Acres Coins, John Moran Auctioneers, and CTBIDS.com.
“We recently welcomed CTBIDS.com as an industry partner, which is a leading online estate sale auction company owned by Caring Transitions,” said Seippel. Our industry partners play significant roles in supplying accurate pricing information for resellers and homeowners looking to value household items. With sources provided by CTBIDS.com, we added nearly 1 million items to our Price Guide.”
Additionally, WorthPoint saw continued success with its events in Q2. The company appeared on two Massachusetts news programs promoting its Treasure Hunt events, including WCVB’s Chronicle and WWLP’s Mass Appeal. WorthPoint and the Salvation Army held two events in Texas Salvation Army centers as part of their national initiative to educate resellers about identifying, valuing, and reselling items online. Each event featured a “Hunt for Charity” contest, where participants hunted for the store item that would be the highest-selling on eBay. All proceeds were donated to the charity.
