Melanie Marburger has been named Director of Development and Communications at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School, effective immediately. Melanie has served as the Director of Communications and Special Events at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit since 2018. In her new role, she will oversee the fundraising efforts of the school in addition to continuing her leadership role in the school's communications efforts.
“I am honored for the opportunity to advance the mission of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School by engaging our loyal supporters and building new relationships with individuals and foundations that seek to impact the lives of our deserving students,” Melanie said. “As Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit completes its first decade of providing life-changing opportunities and academics for our students, I look forward to building upon that success by continuing to share our story and bringing more supporters into our community.”
Melanie will manage all philanthropic activities at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit, including donor and foundation relationships, fundraising events, grant writing, corporate sponsorships, and Student Scholarship Organization fundraising. Additionally, she will direct the overall communications strategy, including branding, public relations, web presence, and social media.
In Melanie’s previous role as Director of Communications and Special Events at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit, she developed and grew school communications platforms including the Cristo Rey Reporter, the CRAJ School News, and the alumni newsletter. She increased the school’s social media presence and has consistently achieved media coverage of school and student activities. Melanie has been responsible for managing major school events such as the annual Corporate Work Study Draft Day, the bi-annual Rey of Hope Gala, and the Coffee with Cristo Rey speaker series.
