Marine Trade Association of Metro Atlanta to Host First Annual Lake Lanier Boat Show

Staff Report

Thursday, September 22nd, 2022

As leaves begin to change in the scenic backdrop that frames Lake Lanier, the Marine Trade Association of Metro Atlanta (MTAMA) will raise the curtain on its first ever boat show. With sights set on being Georgia’s Premier In-Water Boat Show, the event will provide an opportunity for everyone from newcomers to the boating world to seasoned boaters to climb aboard more than 200 boats from 50 different brands presented by 15 local dealers. Hosted Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16 on the docks of Margaritaville at Lanier Islands, the weekend-long Lake Lanier Boat Show will showcase the debut of 2023 models at exclusive pricing.

In addition to the chance for attendees to visualize future days spent on the water and walk away with the keys to a new boat, the Lake Lanier Boat Show will feature live music, food trucks, dock builders, lake life vendors and more. The MTAMA is currently seeking sponsors, food trucks, musicians and retail vendors to further enhance its inaugural event.

“Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is the ideal setting,” said Tabor Reins, President for MTAMA. “We’ve learned a lot from our members’ participation in the National Marine Manufacturers’ events, like the long-standing Atlanta Boat Show, but we wanted to offer something a little different than what one might find on a showroom floor or in an exhibit hall. By featuring boats in the water, where they belong, we make it easier for our guests to imagine themselves enjoying weekends on the lake with friends and family. To augment the sense of adventure attendees will find at the Lake Lanier Boat Show, we want to provide a well-rounded event that is infused with that lifestyle boaters know all too well – sunshine, great food, great music and great fun. Several openings remain for sponsors and vendors to get involved – the more, the merrier.”

To become involved in the Lake Lanier Boat Show – either as a sponsor or as a vendor – interested parties are invited to visit the 2022 Boat Show Square Site Shop.  They can also email [email protected] or call 678-960-2908 with questions.
