Angela Acevedo has been named Director of Corporate Work Study at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School. As the Director of Corporate Work Study (CWS), Angela will lead the CWS department and oversee the overall program policy, operations, program sourcing, sales strategy, administration, and program budget.

Joining the Corporate Work Study team as Operations Manager in May 2018, Angela optimized and streamlined operations logistics for the CWS program and its key stakeholders including CWS partners and Cristo Rey Atlanta families. In March 2020, Angela assumed the Relationship Manager role for 20 corporate partners in addition to her operations duties. She developed a strong relationship among the partners, the school, and the students in this expanded position.

"Angela is uniquely qualified to step into the role of Director of Corporate Work Study after her four years of experience running CWS operations," Cristo Rey Atlanta President Camille Naughton says. "She knows every corporate partner and every student and how to successfully leverage the best in all of them. As we emerge from the pandemic, Angela is the perfect candidate to lead the CWS Department."

Being passionate about Cristo Rey Atlanta’s mission and committed to providing students with meaningful corporate experiences which develop their confidence, skills, and network of professional contacts, Angela is looking forward to the contribution she will be able to make. "I am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with our partners to continue to positively impact the lives of our students and their families. I know that I will be building on a strong foundation, and I am looking forward to taking it to the next level for the next generation of future leaders in our community."

Prior to joining Cristo Rey Atlanta, Angela worked as a teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption in Brookhaven and as a consultant for KPMG in the Operations and Process Optimization Practice. Angela is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. She holds a BBA from the Universidad Metropolitana with a double major in General Management and Banking & Finance. Angela and her husband are the proud parents of two young adults.
