Peach Bowl, Inc. Commits $5.8 Million in Charitable Giving

Peach Bowl, Inc., which operates the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and Peach Bowl Challenge Charity Golf Tournament, today announced a commitment of $5.8 million in charitable donations for the college football season.
The largest donation planned by any bowl game in the country, the committed contributions will bring Peach Bowl, Inc.’s total giving mark to more than $60 million since 2002, reaffirming its position as college football’s most charitable bowl organization. This marks the fifth straight year the Peach Bowl has donated more than $5 million and the 16th straight year of eclipsing $1 million in giving.
For the 2022-2023 season, recipients will include the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Westside Future Fund, Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA, Atlanta Police Foundation, Atlanta Public Schools, endowed scholarships, various university head coach foundations, and the Georgia Lions Lighthouse among others.

The groups that will benefit from Peach Bowl, Inc.’s charitable contributions this year include:
Peach Bowl LegACy Fund for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta $4,000,000
Westside Future Fund (including YMCA and ATL Police Fund) $ 500,000
Various head coach foundations (through the Peach Bowl Challenge) $ 330,000
Touchdowns for Children’s Campaign (LegACy Fund cancer research) $ 300,000
Endowed college scholarships $ 200,000
Atlanta Public Schools Academic Mentoring Program $ 150,000
Atlanta Public Schools special projects $ 100,000
Peach Bowl, Inc. 50/50 in-game raffle for LegACy Fund $ 70,000
Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation $ 50,000
National Down Syndrome Congress $ 50,000
Mike Slive Foundation $ 50,000
"All of us at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s are incredibly grateful for the generous support to create the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund and for the potential this has to change the future of pediatric cancer treatment,” said Dr. Dan Wechsler, Section Chief of Oncology at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. “Currently, the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund is funding seven ongoing clinical trials and having great success in the early stages of patient enrollment.”
