The Community Foundation for
Greater Atlanta announces more than $1.3 million in grants to 30 organizations working to advance equity in three key areas of focus for the Foundation: Income and Wealth, Housing and Neighborhoods and Power and Leadership. Equity and shared prosperity are
the Foundation’s touchstone, as established through TogetherATL, its five-year strategic plan announced last June.
“At its core, equity is about power—who has it, how they wield it and who they invite to share in it,” said Ayana Gabriel, vice president Community Impact for the Community
Foundation for Greater Atlanta. “By awarding these grants to organizations devoted to closing the wealth gap, financial literacy and holding the powerful accountable through local journalism, the Community Foundation is demonstrating our commitment to helping
historically disinvested communities gain a seat at the table. We are working to advance equity in a tangible way.”
