Oncologist Dr. Patricia Rich Returns to CTCA Atlanta

Patricia Rich, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained medical oncologist, has rejoined the medical staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Atlanta.
Dr. Rich has expertise in treating lung and head and neck cancers, with additional experience in treating sarcomas, melanoma breast and prostate cancers. Her career with CTCA includes serving patients at the Chicago and Atlanta hospitals, serving most recently as a medical oncologist and director of the Lung Cancer Center at CTCA Atlanta from 2013 to 2020. She also helped Piedmont Oncology build its thoracic oncology program.
Dr. Rich earned her medical degree from the University of Miami, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Fla., and completed her residency in internal medicine at University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. She also completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology from the University of South Florida, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Fla.

“Growing up in Argentina, I discovered my passion for medicine early in life helping my family administer polio vaccines to impoverished neighborhoods,” Dr. Rich said. “Caring for people is my calling, and I’m excited for new opportunities within an empowering healthcare environment.”
An active, published clinical researcher, Dr. Rich has also served on the Georgia Leadership Board of the American Lung Association and American Lung Association’s Lung Cancer Expert Medical Advisory Panel, which provides the association with strategic advice on critical lung cancer science and lung cancer-related issues.
