Walker Architects, a leading provider of Agile Design solutions for the commercial real estate, higher education, healthcare, science/technology, and other industries, recently opened a new office in Atlanta to accommodate rapid growth, leverage the area’s diverse talent pool, and have easier access to the firm’s national client base.
In addition to the corporate headquarters in Gainesville, Florida, the new office is a critical investment in the firm’s growth strategy. Walker Architects’ Agile Design approach has set them apart and catapulted its growth since its founding in 2009. Since then, Walker Architects has worked with prominent clients throughout the U.S., including the University of Florida, Johnson & Johnson, and the National Parks Service.
“The decision to expand our operations footprint into Atlanta was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” said Joe Walker, Founder and CEO. “Atlanta has a lot to offer small business owners compared to other cities we considered. The key markets where we have found the most demand for our Agile Design process are building owners with many changing needs and limited resources. When I think about the number of corporations, healthcare systems, and educational institutions in Atlanta looking for new ways to use and transform their facilities while having to keep a keen eye on their bottom line, I know our process can be transformative for those organizations.”
The premise behind Walker Architects’ Agile Design approach is to remove the barriers to success in the traditional design process. The Agile Design process focuses on understanding the stated and unstated needs of the end user. But more importantly, it’s about gaining a clear and full understanding of people’s fundamental needs to thrive in their environment. Walker explains, “We’ve found, that when we focus on those needs and well-being, the results we’ve been able to achieve have set up clients for success for many years.”
