Chamberlain Hrdlicka Welcomes Experienced Tax Trial Attorney Sean Gannon to Atlanta Office

Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce the addition of accomplished tax attorney Sean R. Gannon to its Atlanta office. He joins as senior counsel in its nationally-recognized Tax Controversy & Litigation practice where he will advise and represent taxpayers before federal, state and local taxing authorities and in all federal and state courts where tax disputes are litigated.

Gannon has more than 20 years of experience managing federal taxation matters and litigating tax cases that appear in front of the United States Tax Court. Prior to joining the firm, Gannon served as a tax managing director with a Chicago-based firm where he counseled clients involved in Internal Revenue Service (IRS) controversies and provided guidance on procedural, technical and compliance matters as well as representation in appeals cases. He also spent more than nine years litigating tax matters on behalf of the IRS prior to joining private practice.
He frequently authors articles on IRS practice and dispute resolution in top tax publications. Gannon has also presented on IRS tax controversy and procedural matters to groups such as the Illinois CPA Society, Chicago Tax Club, the North Shore Tax Forum and as part of the Synergy conference series.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, his law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Master of Laws degree in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
