Parkland Communities Inc., a premier Atlanta-based real estate development and investment firm, announces an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to join its rapidly expanding team. The firm is actively seeking candidates to oversee key residential projects across East and South metro Atlanta, as well as the Warner Robins/Macon area. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining the firm's commitment to innovative, high-quality residential development across the Atlanta metropolitan area.

With a key focus on innovation and exceptional quality, the successful candidate will possess a proven ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, serve as the key representative with subcontractors, suppliers, and customers, and engage with government inspectors. Overseeing all aspects of residential construction, the construction manager ensures strict compliance with national and local procedures, regulations, and codes. A crucial part of this role involves providing regular updates to management on the progress of each project.

Key responsibilities for the Construction Manager position include:

  • Managing worksites for new residential construction and coordinating activities to ensure they align with project goals and objectives.

  • Directing subcontractors and vendors daily to maintain stringent quality standards.

  • Collaborating with architects, engineers and other professionals on project execution.

  • Identifying and mitigating recurring construction issues 

  • Being able to practice and use home building software for scheduling, paying trades/vendors, and communicating through software as needed.

  • Adhering to all legal regulations, building and safety codes and other requirements.

Candidates must have three or more years of experience managing new residential construction projects, a strong understanding of construction methods and technologies, knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in construction management or a related field, multilingual abilities with a preference for Spanish, OSHA 10-hour certification, and a GSWCC “Blue Card” certification or the ability to obtain it quickly upon being hired.
