34% of US Employees admit to calling in sick when they're not actually sick. That’s according to BonusFinder.com, which surveyed 6,100 Americans to uncover the extent of dishonesty in the US. 

Highlights from the survey:

  • In first place, 45% of Missouri residents have called into work sick when they weren’t actually sick

  • 44% of people in Iowa have skipped work pretending to be sick

  • In third place, 42% of South Dakota residents have called into work sick when they weren’t

  • In last place is Alabama, where only 18% of people have called into work sick when they weren't.
