Friday, August 4th, 2023

The Drawdown Georgia Business Compact announced the inclusion of Energy Efficient Technologies (EET) as the newest member (57th) of the initiative to advance statewide decarbonization. By joining forces with industry leaders, EET is demonstrating its commitment to supporting collaborative climate action in Georgia.

The Drawdown Georgia Business Compact aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in Georgia by 2050. By collaborating with corporate, government, nonprofit, and academic partners, the Compact leverages the collective impact of the Georgia business community for a just, competitive, and sustainable transition.

Spearheaded by the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business, the  Drawdown GA Business Compact provides a platform for companies to take individual and collective actions towards the net-zero goal. By actively participating, businesses showcase their dedication to carbon reduction, equity, economic opportunity, and environmental and public health.

As a newly joined member, EET is committed to actively supporting Georgia's endeavor to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. This commitment includes participating in collaborative initiatives and reporting annually on the activities undertaken to contribute to the statewide target.

By 2034, EET’s existing US client base will have collectively reduced its energy consumption by approximately 3.6 billion kWh.  This is equivalent to reducing CO2 (Scope 2) emissions by 2.57 million Metric Tons or the equivalent reduction of 2.84 billion pounds of coal burned to make electricity.

The Energy Efficient Technologies team is obsessively passionate about helping the environment since 1988. We’ve been helping the government, military and companies reduce their carbon footprint, energy use, and operation/maintenance costs through technology development and insertion over the past 35 years.

Our team has developed, identified, integrated, patented or deployed more than 200 technologies and process changes across industries that include: grocery stores, assisted living, data centers, cold chain, retail, restaurants, warehouses, office space, hotels, hospitals, refrigerated trucks (reefers) and banks.

We began as contractors working with the United States Navy, helping to automate the energy and control systems of nuclear submarines, warships, and aircraft carriers. Our work allowed personnel to focus on their primary tasks, which reduced operation and maintenance costs while improving reliability and survivability.

This research and development mindset ask’s you to solve problems that have never been solved, each and every day.  This spurred the company forward and helped us build an engineering framework that was supported by our unique “spiral approach.” This entails working constantly for ways to improve our clients’ operations, while solving their current challenges. Energy reductions identified in one industry are immediately applied to others allowing every client to continually improve.

Energy Efficient Technologies has become an industry leader through our continued research and applications in over 2600 projects nationwide; never resting until we’ve helped each and every client reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient and profitable.

The Drawdown Georgia Business Compact warmly welcomes Energy Efficient Technologies to this groundbreaking initiative and looks forward to the collective efforts that will accelerate climate action in the state.
