Bloom Announces New Development Director [Fayetteville, Georgia] — Bloom Our Youth, Inc (D.B.A, “Bloom”), a nonprofit organization and leading advocate for foster care and child welfare, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Stephanie King to the position of Development Director. This promotion reflects King's outstanding dedication, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children in foster care in the state of Georgia.
When King joined Bloom, she quickly demonstrated exceptional skills and passion in her various roles during her 4-year tenure. Her contributions have been invaluable in the success of Bloom’s largest fundraising events such as Frocks & Rocks and Bloom Ball. Through her tireless efforts, King has played a pivotal role in the success of growing Bloom Ball and relocating the gala to the Georgia Aquarium to attract a new market. She has also overseen numerous successful fundraising campaigns.
“I absolutely love this community and I am thrilled to connect with various donors and supporters on a more ‘one-on-one’ scale. I am always inspired by hearing others' motives on why they support Bloom, and I look forward to continuing to expand those relationships,” says King.
In her new role as Development Director, King will be responsible for Bloom’s overall engagement of corporate, individual, and foundation funders to grow the organization’s ability to serve more foster children within the state. She will also be expanding Bloom’s reach and awareness in the Metro Atlanta market with hopes of maximizing Bloom’s monthly donor program. Bloom executives have full confidence that King will continue to drive positive change and make a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families they serve.
“Stephanie’s wealth of nonprofit leadership experience and strategic approach to fundraising will play a vital role in Bloom’s future,” says President & CEO, Becky Davenport. “In this new position, Stephanie will expand our awareness and support within the Metro Atlanta area and throughout Georgia. Stephane takes on this position at an important juncture for the organization as we increase our capacity to serve 100% of the children in the 159 counties of Georgia in foster care by 2033.”
Prior to joining Bloom, King served in the nonprofit world since September 2015. She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. She has been on the programming and fundraising side of the nonprofits she has worked for, so her skills cover a wide range of Bloom’s needs. With her extensive experience, she is poised to expand Bloom’s reach and impact in the community.
