Cathedral Giving By Design 2024 Tickets Now Available
Thursday, December 21st, 2023
Cathedral Giving By Design will return to Atlanta on January 19-20, 2024 for its second annual fundraiser, and tickets are now available for purchase online here. Attendees have the option to purchase single tickets to each event, as well as a Weekend All-Access Pass (includes all three events) and Saturday All-Access Pass (includes design panel and home tour). Building on the 50-year legacy of the former Cathedral Antiques Show, the event’s proceeds will support 2024’s beneficiary The Boyce L. Ansley School, a tuition-free private school for children experiencing homelessness.
Cathedral Giving By Design has also organized a new sponsorship opportunity, Design Circle. With exclusive and tailored benefits, this is an opportunity for design professionals and artisans to gather together, celebrate exceptional homes and hospitality, and be recognized for their philanthropic support of Cathedral Giving By Design. Sponsorship levels include Gold ($2,500), Silver ($1,000) and Bronze ($500).
On Friday, January 19, festivities will kick off with a welcome party at the Cathedral of St. Philip featuring live music, hors d’oeuvres and dinner, and cocktails, plus a live auction in which attendees will have the chance to bid on:
A silent auction will feature exciting lots from the collections of this year’s design panelists. Additionally, there will be a raffle for the chance to win an exciting experience of three nights in New York City complete with two tickets to US Open Men's & Women's Tennis Finals in 2024. Bidding for the silent auction and entry for the raffle will be available HERE (raffle opens Dec. 21; silent auction opens Jan. 12).
Christina Dandar of The Potted Boxwood will return this year as the moderator for Saturday’s panel titled “Beyond the Front Door: Trends in Decorating, Lifestyle & Entertaining,” where acclaimed interior designers from around the Southeast will explore their perspective on bringing beauty to the personal space. Featured panelists are Melanie Turner, Paloma Contreras, Heather Dewberry, Will Huff & Mallory Mathison Glenn. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase Melanie Turner's book and Paloma Contreras' second book (newly published!) and have them signed by the authors.
Following the panel on Saturday attendees can see these concepts brought to life as they immerse themselves in a tour of exceptionally decorated homes. These include, in Buckhead, the Venetian Villa inspired home of interior designer Melanie Turner, where she will be available to answer visitors’ questions as they explore and a Georgian revival home for a young family of four updated in collaboration with architect Kate Mabry, Revival Construction, interior designer Emily Wyatt, where Emily will similarly be available for questions.
All ticket sales and donations garnered from the festivities will go to the 2024 beneficiary, the Boyce L. Ansley School. The tuition-free private school educates children experiencing homelessness and provides vital support services for their family. There are almost 2,000 children experiencing homelessness in Atlanta schools and countless more who are not even enrolled. The School’s mission is to provide rigorous, high-quality education and collaborative family support, while taking into consideration the unique traumas associated with experiencing homelessness. In doing so, they empower children and families to thrive beyond their circumstance. Founded in 2018, the Ansley School has grown by one grade level each year with the goal of becoming a PreK-8th grade school. Cathedral Giving By Design will support them in this growth, as they add a 5th grade program in 2024.
Cathedral Giving by Design was formerly known as the Cathedral Antiques Show, a beloved event produced by the Episcopal Church Women of the Cathedral of St. Philip for over 50 years. The new event in its second year pivots off the tradition of building community and celebrating design, to increase funds raised with a refreshed approach. The inaugural 2023 Cathedral Giving By Design celebration benefitted Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence. The event raised over $291,000 for the Women’s Resource Center, an organization serving 5,000 survivors of domestic violence annually by aiding them in finding a safe place to stay, exercising their legal rights, exploring options and creating accountability for those who use violence. The Cathedral looks forward to serving the Atlanta community with the charitable celebration of home and hospitality for a second year.
