Dunwoody Nature Center Unveils Enchanting Fairy Tale Forest Festival
Wednesday, March 6th, 2024
The Dunwoody Nature Center is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Fairy Tale Forest Festival, a magical event set to captivate families and nature enthusiasts alike. Scheduled to take place on March 23 from 10 am - 4pm at the picturesque Nature Center grounds, this enchanting festival promises a day of whimsical adventures, interactive activities, and unforgettable experiences for attendees of all ages.
The main highlight of the festival will be a number of interactive storybook reenactments taking place on the main stage. Guests will have the opportunity to witness retellings of fairy tale classics by actors from Stage Door Theatre such as Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood, as well as some new stories from other local performers.
Tickets to the festival include the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts projects, including the chance to create their very own Fairy House or Gnome Home! Shop from a variety of local vendors at our Magical Market, and take a Woodland Walk to meet other organizations teaching about the ecosystem. Food and drinks will be available from Mellow Mushroom throughout the festival.
For those attendees who want even more adventure, professionals will be onsite guiding tree climbing excursions! Each tree climb costs an additional $10 and is suitable for participants aged 5 and up. Spots are limited!
"We are delighted to invite the community to join us for the Fairy Tale Forest Festival, a celebration of the magic that nature and storytelling bring to our lives," said Chloe Green, festival coordinator at the Dunwoody Nature Center. "This event is an opportunity for families to come together, connect with nature, and create lasting memories in a whimsical and enchanting setting."
