The Atlanta Hawks today announced their plans to host their annual ‘Hispanic Heritage Night presented by CareSource’ game when the team takes on the New Orleans Pelicans at the award-winning State Farm Arena on Sunday, March 10th at 6 p.m. The night will celebrate the rich culture of NBA fans and players across Hispanic and Latino communities through various in-game elements, music, dance, and an exciting night of Hawks basketball. The first 4,000fans through the gates will receive a special Hispanic Heritage Night red rally towel courtesy of CareSource. Limited tickets remain for the game at Hawks.com/tickets.

“We are thrilled to partner with CareSource to highlight the Hispanic and Latino communities in and around the league,” said Hawks’ Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Camye Mackey. “Through nights like Hispanic Heritage Night presented by CareSource, we are proud to celebrate the diversity within our communities and learn from one another.”

To tip off the celebration, singer Sirena Grace will be performing the national anthem prior to tip off. Originally from Queens, N.Y., her parents immigrated to the states from the Dominican Republic and El Salvador. Sirena’s musical influences come from her Latin roots as well as hip-hop influences. She combines English and Spanish lyrics with dynamic five-octave vocals to create a Spanglish, R&B and Soul sound. Continuing to celebrate the Hispanic community and culture, the starting lineups for the game will be announced in Spanish by ATL Dancer Julian Valdivia. The ATL Dancers will also be performing a special Latin dance routine and Los Mariachis, a traditional mariachi band, will help entertain fans on the concourse.

At halftime, Puerto Rican singer and rapper, LUNAY, will perform. LUNAY burst onto the Latin and reggaeton scene with his song “Soltera,” and its widely regarded ‘Song of Summer’ remix with Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny in 2019. Now, his credits include two No. 1 Latin Airplay singles, a rare No. 1 full album debut with the 14-track ‘ÉPICO,’ and over a billion views on YouTube.

“Our partnership with the Hawks provides an opportunity to engage with Georgia families in a meaningful way,” said Jason Bearden, CareSource Georgia president. “In addition to celebrating the contributions of Hispanics and Latin Americans at Hispanic Heritage Night, CareSource had the opportunity to work alongside the Hawks and the Latin American Association to serve families through a pop-up grocery store event. We also provided event attendees with the opportunity to receive an onsite blood pressure screening and well check-up through CareSource’s Wellness on Wheels initiative.  As we partner in the communities where our members live, work and play, we are helping to bridge gaps in access to health care and addressing social determinants of health – like lack of transportation to a doctor and access to healthy food – across the state.”

Hispanic Heritage Night will mark the Hawks’ first-ever Spanish-language game over the air which will air on Telemundo Atlanta. The game will be broadcast simultaneously in English on Peachtree TV.
