The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) public art program, Artbound, announces a call for artists to submit designs for new murals at Edgewood/Candler Park and Oakland City rail stations.

WHAT:          CALL FOR ARTISTS: Rail Station Murals

WHO:             All Atlanta artists and designers are encouraged to apply 

WHERE:        Edgewood/Candler Park and Oakland City Stations 

WHEN:          First round applications due Monday, May 6*

*This call will be a streamlined process for artists so that one application may be submitted for multiple mural projects. The selection panel for the Edgewood/Candler Park and Oakland City murals will convene during the week of May 6, or shortly after. The call will re-open for future mural projects later this year or next, with artist fees varying depending on the project.

One percent of MARTA’s annual budget is allocated for its Artbound program which was developed to enhance the ridership experience through visual and performing arts.
