College Football Hall of Fame Celebrating Military Appreciation Week
Tuesday, May 28th, 2024
Committed to honoring and showing gratitude to our nation’s military personnel and their families for their service and sacrifice, the College Football Hall of Fame is celebrating Military Appreciation Week, built by The Home Depot, by offering free admission to active-duty military members, veterans, and their families May 25 through May 31. While active and retired military members are offered free admission year-round, thanks to the Hall’s partnership with Arrow Exterminators, the offer is being extended to include family members during this dedicated week
By presenting a valid military identification card to the Hall’s box office, active and retired military members will be able to bring up to three accompanying family members to experience the Hall’s immersive and interactive exhibits that celebrate the rich history of college football.
In addition to the permanent Service Academies Exhibit and the 170-pound Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy located on the second floor, the Hall will also be creating a temporary exhibit to honor renowned athlete, scholar, and service member Pat Tillman in the Quad. Along with Arizona State’s 2023 “Salute to Service” uniform, the Tillman exhibit will also include various items left at a makeshift shrine in his honor, such as World War II medals, a Purple Heart Medal, and various hand-written messages on footballs, shirts, and banners. Images of the Service Academies and Tillman exhibits are available here.
The College Football Hall of Fame is currently open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. ET, and additional details about the Hall and Military Appreciation Week can be found at cfbhall.com.
