Sterling Seacrest Pritchard Partner Steve Heinen recently hosted the 25th annual Certified Workers Compensation Professional Worshop. Approximately 185 attendees heard from industry experts throughout the day on subjects including risk management, client communication and workers compensation best practices.  The group project included sharing those best practices from some of the largest stakeholders in the state.

Steve Heinen has been administering the Georgia Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional Program (CWCP) since its inception in 1999.  He has published numerous articles and training manuals and has written two books: the Employers Guide to Workers’ Compensation and the Agents Guide to Workers’ Compensation.  Steve has conducted training and has been the keynote speaker at numerous company and industry functions.  He was appointed by Governor Deal as a Board Director on the Subsequent Injury Trust Fund in 2010.

“Over the years, this program has grown to include over 200 employers, insurers, and TPA's,” shared Heinen. “We are thrilled to see the growth of professionals who have attended this workshop and are committed to sharing best practices with their clients and fellow associates.”

Additional representatives from Sterling Seacrest Pritchard speaking at the event included Partners Matt Stinchcomb and David Greene.
