Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers LLP is pleased to announce Brad Marsh as the lawyer recipient of the 23rd Annual Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award by the Bench and Bar Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. The recipients were honored at a ceremony on June 7 in conjunction with the State Bar’s Annual Meeting.

The Thomas O. Marshall Professionalism Award is presented to one lawyer and one judge who demonstrate the highest professional conduct and have a paramount reputation for professionalism. Recipients are selected by a committee of past presidents of the State Bar of Georgia. More information about the award is available here.

Marsh focuses his practice on the defense of catastrophic injury, property damage and commercial cases. He represents automobile, electrical and heavy equipment product manufacturers, along with individual and corporate clients in Georgia and across the United States. Marsh strongly believes he has an obligation to mentor young lawyers and serve on committees to better the legal profession.

For many years, he served on the Review Panel for the State Bar of Georgia’s Disciplinary Board and served as chair in 2004. He has also served on the Bar’s Formal Advisory Opinion Board and was elected chair in 2014. Marsh was recently appointed by the State Bar President to serve on the Institute of Continuing Judicial Education of Georgia Board of Trustees and the State Bar of Georgia Committee on Professionalism. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
