City of Peachtree Corners Awarded Certificate of Achievement From GFOA for Sixth Straight Year

The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. It is the city’s sixth year of receiving the award and represents a significant accomplishment by the City’s Finance Department and its leadership.
According to a GFOA release, “The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive ‘spirit of full disclosure’ to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
The city’s Finance Department produces the CAFR each year and works with independent auditors to verify the city’s financial situation and standing.
