Najgee Gatson to Lead Corporate Work Study at Cristo Rey Atlanta

Najgee Gatson has been named Director of Corporate Work Study at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School effective September 1, 2024. As the Director of Corporate Work Study (CWS), Najgee will lead the CWS department and oversee the overall program policy, operations, sales strategy, administration, and program budget.

Joining the Corporate Work Study team as a Relationship Manager in 2021, Najgee has cultivated and maintained strong relationships with 30+ companies to ensure partner satisfaction and retention. Najgee has managed over 375 students to provide appropriate training, support, and resources that students need to succeed in their job placements. He developed a strong relationship among the Corporate Partners, the school, students, and parents.

"Najgee has been a highly successful Relationship Manager within the CWS team, working closely with partner companies and students to ensure that corporate partnerships are beneficial to all,” Cristo Rey Atlanta President Camille Naughton says. “Combining that experience with Najgee’s natural leadership style and outstanding ability to build relationships across all constituencies made him the unanimous choice of the search committee."

I want to continually carry forward the mission of the school to create men and women who use their talents to grow their skills, open their minds to new opportunities, and become the future business leaders of Atlanta.”  

In addition to his role in Corporate Work Study, Najgee has served as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit since June 2021. Under his direction, the program earned the first Region championship in school history for all sports (2023-2024), and Najgee was named 2023-2024 GIAA 4A – District 1 Coach of the Year.

Najgee is originally from Riverdale, Georgia. He holds a BS from Spring Hill College and a master’s degree in Leadership and Executive Coaching from Bellevue University. He was a decorated player on the men’s basketball team at Spring Hill College (2010-2015), and he is a member of the ATL Leaders Program of the Metro Atlanta Chamber.
