Celebrate Good Neighbor Month with Exciting Community Events in Atlanta!

 Get ready to feel the community spirit! State Farm® is thrilled to celebrate Good Neighbor Month this September. We're igniting a wave of goodwill and camaraderie across Atlanta with heartwarming events and volunteer opportunities that make a difference.

Throughout September, State Farm is teaming up with U.S. Hunger and Feeding America to offer a range of volunteer activities. These initiatives are designed to unite neighbors and State Farm associates to support community needs and fight hunger. In addition, State Farm is encouraging its employees and agents to support their local food banks and pantries in their communities throughout the month. 

Exciting Events in the Atlanta Area:

Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Million Meal Pack Initiative: (September 21st): Join 6,000 volunteers as we assemble one million meals in a single day! These meals will directly impact local Atlanta communities, distributed with the help of U.S. Hunger. Volunteer registration is open to the public at Hawks.com/mealpack. After your volunteer shift, enjoy an exclusive celebration with games, refreshments, and music on State Farm Drive!

Midwest Food Bank of GA

  • Family Food Box Assembly and Processing Project (September 12th): Volunteers will gather to assemble and process family food boxes, ensuring essential supplies reach those in need. 

  • Grant for Disaster Relief Kits: With a new grant, the Midwest Food Bank of GA will prepare disaster relief kits to provide critical support during crises.

Community Assistance Center (CAC):

  • Food Pantry Support (September 13th, 18th, and 27th): Volunteers will help with receiving and processing food, restocking the mini-market, and cleaning and resetting the mini-market for the next day.

  • Panel Discussion on Food InsecurityCAC will participate as a featured panelist during the State Farm panel discussion on food insecurity, sharing insights and strategies to combat this pressing issue.

  • Nonprofit Showcase (September 16): CAC will be present at an internal State Farm nonprofit showcase to further developing connections with State Farm employees and share their impactful work.

Meals on Wheels of Metro Atlanta (September 26th): Volunteers will stock the Good Neighbor Pantry shelves and prepare grocery boxes for seniors in need. This event is part of the Atlanta Hawks & State Farm partnership on community engagement. 

Good Neighbor Walk Run: From September 1st to 30th, log your miles to support Feeding America! For every mile logged, State Farm will donate $1, up to $50,000. Whether you hike with your pet, run solo, bike with your family, or walk with neighbors, every step counts. Register at sfgoodneighbor.com and enjoy a day of fitness and fun while raising funds for a great cause.
