Leadership Perimeter Announces Class of 2025

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, September 23rd, 2024

Leadership Perimeter <https://www.leadershipperimeter.org/>  (LP), serving
the Brookhaven, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs communities as the premier
organization in developing and inspiring leaders to serve their communities
for a lifetime, recently launched its 2025 class at its annual Embark
gathering for new class members and alumni.

Comprised of a diverse group of 44 experienced and emerging leaders, the
class launched their nine-month community leadership development program at
the recent gathering, which will be followed with a retreat at Unicoi State
Park in Helen, Ga.

"The class is made up of dynamic and engaged community members and we're
thrilled for them to fully launch their experience with the opening retreat.
Year after year each class shares how it brings them together and ignites
how they're eager to embrace the year's programming and as a group. Over
just a few days, connections are developed, and members discover how to
identify individual strengths and leadership styles," shares LP Program
Director, Catherine Lautenbacher, a 2011 graduate of the program.

Over the course of the program, monthly program days and special events are
held to inform class members about communities within the Perimeter, enrich
their civic comprehension and engagement, connect with leaders across many
sectors, further develop leadership skills and encourage further community
involvement.

"Leadership Perimeter demonstrates how communities and their leaders can
collaborate to enhance their cities as well as those around them. This
program enhances leadership skills while also fostering the importance of
community and working together" stated Rosalyn Putnam, the nonprofit's
Executive Director. "The program prides itself on its cornerstone that
community doesn't just happen, but that we (Leadership Perimeter) help
create it. Throughout the region more than 800 alumni are part of the growth
of these thriving communities, utilizing skills, knowledge and relationships
that they've developed through the program. Whether leading nonprofits,
large and small businesses, and organizations or serving on boards, city
councils and commissions, or as volunteers, they're making incredible
contributions and encouraging others to become more engaged community
members as well. We're thrilled to see the launch of another year of dynamic
programming and inspired leaders."
