Mayor Andre Dickens announced the launch of ‘Go Vote ATL’, a new initiative that aims to rally Atlantans from every corner of the city to exercise their constitutional right to vote and play an active role in shaping the future of our democracy.

The nonpartisan initiative is the product of a partnership with nonprofit 501(c)3 organization Cities Forward and will incorporate support from dozens of local nonprofit and civic engagement organizations around Atlanta.

“Voting is how we get City services we deserve, and we make our voices heard. It is a foundational element of our democracy and long before I was an elected official I was encouraging citizens to vote. We are reaching out to partners because Atlanta is a group project, and civic engagement requires everyone,” said Mayor Dickens.

Proposed activities include voter registration and mobilization, community conversations, public artwork, mass media and engagement opportunities designed for all ages, including new voters and high school students.

GoVOTEatl.com is committed to fostering an inclusive democracy and ensuring that every voice is heard. Through a series of innovative initiatives, community events, grassroots efforts and tech-enabled outreach, the City of Atlanta has joined in this partnership to help citizens overcome barriers to voting and widespread civic engagement.

"With the several critical elections at the local, state and national level, it's important that we come together as a city to make our voices heard," said Austin Wagner, Deputy Chief of Staff to Mayor Dickens and team lead on the initiative. "The 'Go Vote ATL' campaign is about more than just casting ballots; it's about empowering every citizen to be an active participant in shaping the future of our city."
