RocaPoint Partners today announced Char Pizzeria as the latest concept to join Forsyth County’s premier mixed-use development, Halcyon. The modern, Italian-inspired pizzeria will host a grand opening celebration on Friday, September 6, with pie specials and deals for the community. Char Pizzeria will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Before opening Char Pizzeria, we spent time honing our craft of simple, artisanal pizza making that will appeal to people of all ages and flavor palettes by learning from Italian cuisine experts,” said Izzy Ramos, co-owner of Char Pizzeria. "We look forward to bringing an elevated pizza experience to Halcyon, while also catering to the large population of children and families that visit the center for events, dinners and other outings.” 

Char Pizzeria is taking over the former Holmes Slice location in Halcyon’s Market Hall. Char Pizzeria owners Izzy and Charity Ramos, the husband and wife duo who also own Halcyon’s The Original Hot Dog Factory, recently completed a remodel and menu revamp on the pizza stall to prepare it for opening. While Char Pizzeria has kept some of the classic pizzas guests know and love, it has also added several artisanal-style pizzas, including smoked salmon, charcuterie board and white truffle, all available in 10-inch and 14-inch sizes. All of the pizzas at Char Pizzeria are made with a new and improved sauce and a thin-crust, Neapolitan-style dough and cooked to perfection in a classic brick oven. Char Pizzeria will be serving frozen alcoholic drinks with options ranging from a frosé, a blackberry Aperol, a blue raspberry slush with vodka and a Bushwacker. The pizzeria will also offer sandwich options.

Halcyon recently announced that Chewy Vet Care will open its third location in metro Atlanta later this year as part of Halcyon’s Phase III, joining the newly opened Chick-fil-A and forthcoming Five Guys and Chase Bank.
