redefinED atlanta Welcomes Tiffany Scott as the New AVP Development & Moves Tyler Burrell’s VP Operations & People

redefinED atlanta, a public education nonprofit that engages communities, advocates for equity, and funds critical work to drive systemic level improvement in K-12 public education for students and families, welcomes Tiffany Scott as its new Associate Vice President of Development. Additionally, Tyler Burrell, formerly Director of Operations, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations and People.

As Associate Vice President of Development, Scott will work with redefinED atlanta’s Vice President of Advancement to design and drive the strategy for the nonprofit’s major giving program and have a leadership role in advocacy, partnership development, and other non-revenue-based ecosystem work.

Scott comes to redefinED atlanta from OneGoal-Metro Atlanta, where she was the founding Senior Director of Development. At OneGoal-Metro Atlanta, she played an integral role in synthesizing, developing, and implementing strategies to realize revenue growth when the nonprofit was launched in Atlanta.

Before joining redefinED atlanta, Scott worked as a planning analyst with ANN Taylor INC and Ross Stores before transitioning into the nonprofit sector as a Manager of Donor Cultivation at City of Refuge.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Business Management and Organization from Spelman College. She is a 2019 Association of Fundraising Professionals Diversity Fellow and the 2019-20 Fund Development Chair for the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals. Scott is a former junior board member with Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and is part of the 2024 Leadership Buckhead class.

Tyler Burrell
Burrell has been a committed and objective-oriented leader at redefinED atlanta since her hiring as Director of Operations in July of 2022. Her new role as Vice President of Operations & People continues to rely on her the organization’s operational strategy and human resources‬ initiatives while adding oversight of all  financial processes and becoming a member of the senior leadership team.

Prior to working with redefinED atlanta,  Burrell began her journey in education as the principal’s assistant for Achievement First East Brooklyn High School. In this role, she discovered her passion for school-based operations and leadership, then quickly started her journey as Director of School Operations.

Burrell is a Brooklyn native and graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Excelsior Village Academies.
