Small Business Seminar: Scaling Corporate Benefits for Small Businesses on Oct. 3

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce and SelectCobb are hosting “Scaling Corporate Benefits for Small Businesses,” on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM EST. The seminar features two local experts who will share best practices and innovative approaches to help attendees attract and retain top talent, optimize employee satisfaction, and enhance their businesses’ overall success.
Speakers include:
Beth Phillips, Business Performance Advisor, Insperity
With more than 20 years of experience in sales, partnerships, business development, and marketing, Beth Phillips serves as a Business Performance Advisor at Insperity, where she helps small to mid-sized businesses succeed and prosper. Phillips holds a Pragmatic Marketing certification and has a proven track record of driving revenue across verticals and new markets, exceeding goals, and leading cross-functional teams.
At Insperity, Phillips delivers customized HR solutions designed to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and manage costs in all areas related to people. Working closely with CEOs and business owners, she assesses challenges and goals to tailor services that meet their specific needs. Additionally, she develops and implements strategies to enhance performance in account management, sales, and marketing, leveraging expertise in CRM and communication. Her mission is to empower businesses to achieve the highest level of success.
Allison Giddens, Co-President, Win-Tech
Allison Giddens is the co-owner of Win-Tech, a precision aerospace machine shop in Kennesaw, Georgia, where she leads business operations. After working at the small business for nearly 18 years, Giddens purchased the company with her business partner, John Hudson, in 2020. While Giddens oversees the business side, Hudson manages sales and the shop floor.
Giddens helped found the Georgia Chapter of Women in Manufacturing and currently serves as a Small Business Working Group lead and board member for the National Defense Industry Sharing & Analysis Center. She is also the Southeastern Region Trustee for the National Tooling & Machining Association. A passionate advocate for small businesses, Giddens is involved in shaping both government policy and local initiatives.
Actively engaged in workforce development, industry associations, and non-profits within her community, Giddens created the Advanced Manufacturing Virtual Internship in the summer of 2020. The curriculum has since been shared globally and is now used year-round by some businesses in the UK.
