Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead, an award-winning luxury hotel located at 415 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, is thrilled to announce an exciting transformation to its on-site dining and event venue experiences, Tesserae and Dirty Rascal. Effective Sept. 1, Tesserae, the hotel’s stunning contemporary indoor-outdoor rooftop, will welcome guests for breakfast (Monday-Friday, 7 to 11 a.m.), lunch (Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.), dinner (Sunday-Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m. + Friday-Saturday 5 to 10 p.m.), and weekend brunch services (Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.), while Dirty Rascal, the hotel’s ground-floor culinary experience, will become one of the property’s flagship event venues.
“Not only are we elevating our all-day dining experience, we are taking it ten floors up, giving guests, neighbors, and travelers an exciting way to explore Tesserae while enjoying the breathtaking views of Atlanta and beyond morning, noon, and night,” said Donte Johnson, Thompson Atlanta – Buckhead General Manager. “Couple that with the increase in our meetings business, the success of unique private events in Dirty Rascal, and the need for more space to provide tailored experiences for both corporate and social gatherings, it made sense for us to embark on this transformation.”
The word Tesserae is defined as a composition of individual parts that form a more beautiful structure in its combined power. Sitting ten stories high above Buckhead, the reimagined Tesserae does just that. With approximately 4,000 square feet of beautifully designed restaurant and outdoor patio space on the property’s rooftop, Thompson Hotels takes pride in introducing travelers to the destination’s culinary scene while also appealing to locals. The restaurant will feature modern American fare with a classic approach paired with breathtaking indoor and outdoor rooftop views.
For breakfast and brunch dishes include Bananas Bread Elvis Toast; French Toast Bread Pudding; and Hot Honey Shrimp & Grits Benedict. Tesserae’s lunch menu features items such as Burrata & Peach Salad; Lobster Club Sandwich; Tesserae Wedge Salad; and Coffee Rubbed Hanger Steak Frites. Highlights of the dinner menu include fresh oysters; Filet Mignon Tartare; Spiced Fried Chicken; and Whole Maine Lobster Mac & Cheese. Additional featured offerings are available such as the Tesserae Prime Rib Dinner with Endive Caesar; a 12-hour Roast; followed by the Butterscotch Pudding. The star of the dessert menu is Orange Julius Baked Alaska with flaming Grand Marnier. The crowd-pleasing menus will be complemented by expertly prepared signature cocktails, a wine selection reflecting well-known varietals and regions, and local craft beer.
Known for its elegant private entry, intimate outdoor patio, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and fully equipped private kitchen, Dirty Rascal will now cater to meetings and private and special events, accommodating up to 100 guests. The 3,800-square-foot space is designed to encourage connection and transformation easily, blending style, design, and international inspiration to create memorable experiences for various meetings and events. Dirty Rascal formerly served as the hotel’s main restaurant opening in 2021 with Chef Todd Ginsberg, who wrapped his collaboration in late 2023.
Additionally, with more than 12,000 square feet of meeting and events space, select events from Tesserae will be relocated to Dirty Rascal and other versatile meeting spaces within the hotel, ensuring guests enjoy diverse activations and experiences.
